Hello!

I am an actor, director, musician, and writer interested in deeply human stories and classical works. I am driven by the need in our world to hear others & see stories we have not been exposed to previously.

I continually come back to this quote by Jeanette Winterson, one of my favorite authors, “I want to tell the story again…I return to problems I can’t solve not because I’m an idiot, but because the real problems can’t be solved.” We need stories to be told more than ever.

My work is centered around play. We were once players in a playhouse doing a play. I believe we still are.

As an artist I love feedback, and it’s especially nice when it’s a compliment of my work.

“I was shocked and delighted to find that Lysander, who I usually find to be the least interesting of the four Athenian youths, became my favorite character in this production thanks to a superb performance by Taylor Slonaker. (Slonaker also plays Mustardseed the fairy and Flute the bellows-mender, showing off an impressive range.)” - Jess Hoffman, Berkshire On Stage

“Slonaker makes her statements in a voice that could cut glass, and this is perfect for the role. She wins the perfection-in-casting award for this presentation.” -J. Peter Bergman, The Berkshire Edge
